withered and blooming

spent a lot of time choosing fonts for this, but finally settled for a simple serif font. sigh. looking at the bright side, i finally know how to install fonts in ubuntu and actually access them!
for my sanity, let me just write down the magic words (code in linux that allowed me to access my new, funky fonts in the applications):
sudo fc-cache -f

pizza pizzazz

creating this made me hungry... i want some pizza!



to create the pizza slices, i used the circle tool then dragged the little circle thingy clockwise (reminded me of a negative theta... ulk).

my fonts are limited right now because as of yesterday, i've been doing the digiscraps in linux. nuninuninu...

i was trying to organize all our pictures using picasa for linux. in the process, i came across an interesting picture, then played with picasa's focal B&W effect. i liked the resulting picture, so i immediately ran inkscape just to create a quick scrap and finally have something to post here. ;-)
